Hello. I saw your post on meta. Prior to this discussion, myself, a few English Wikinewies and one or two Spanish Wikinewsies were talking about creating a Affiliate Group for Wikinews. We want to have some international support and a non-native English speaker active on a Wikinews project other than English Wikinews really on board. The goal would be not to interfere with local projects, their policies and accreditation setup. Rather, it would be to support original reporting, serve as the organization people can list whn seeking accreditation to events like the Olympics, faciliate outreach, run educational workships and provide legal protection for journalist reporting for Wikinews.
